Fellowship and Practice at Sal's House

This is what Refuge choir fellowship looks like!  Sal hosted at his house, providing a feast of roast chicken and fried fish and Donna and Mansy added pizza to the table. We celebrated the return of MJ and Lisa, and welcomed bassist Sean to the group. This was an epic fun choir practice, but absolutely typical of what happens when Refuge gets together!

During practice Refuge celebrated the return of guitarist Marc and his birthday.

Mike and Sal are spending a week at Guitar & Ensemble Institute workshop and retreat for music ministers.  The event is sponsored annually by the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, held at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford, Ohio.

Susan and Joe hosted Refuge for a delicious jambalaya dinner followed by fun rehearsal and jam session. And Refuge welcomed Lucille to our fellowship.

Open Mic Night

Refuge co-sponsored an open mic night at Christ the King, raising $242 for the Youth Group mission to Eastern Shore this summer.

Refuge kicked off the evening with two songs.

Farewell Jeremy

Congratulations and farewell and God Bless You to Refuge keyboardist Jeremy as he graduates from medical school next weekend, then gets married and is off to a job in Pittsburgh.

Refuge gathered to say farewell to guitarist Marc who will be away for advanced training for several weeks.

Dinner and Practice at BJ's House

Refuge enjoyed a second annual Fish Fry and Spaghetti dinner followed by an excellent rehearsal and jam session.  We also celebrated Refuge Medic/vocalist/flutist Rosalie's birthday.  Thanks to Sal for the delicious fried fish and inspiration for the event.  Thanks to BJ for hosting, and thanks to all who brought delicious food!
